Misty prepares the patient to see the physician by obtaining their vitals, medical history and reconciling medication lists. Misty also receives telephone encounters submitted by patients requesting medication refills or issues that may arise between their appointments with our physicians. She communicates with physicians daily regarding these requests to ensure the patients’ needs are being met. We also offer anemia management within our practice and Misty oversees this service which includes monitoring hemoglobin and hematocrit levels to determine if an injection is needed and receiving prior authorizations from insurance companies to ensure these services are covered by the patients’ insurance.
